What to do with my hunter

So this char I love playing. it is only like level 16 but fun as hell to play. I was going to go haruspex with just a bow but not to sure. Everyone says go with spear/shield combo but personally I like using a bow. Now for my second skill I just cant decide. I saw a brigand(rouge/hunter) build that was awesome. I also saw an avenger that would be cool to play as well. bad thing is I have been dumping all my points in the hunting tree, and nothing into intelligence so he is dumb as a box of rocks. Dont know what equipment to use either. Any thoughts?

Well, a good archer buidl would be hunter/nature

Haruspex is better of with spear, cause then you use phantom strike
